In order to assist the brave men and women, who stood up for our country, Placer Veterans Stand Down (PVSD) hosts a 3 day event, typically the 1st week of May every year.

All veterans and their families are welcome to attend. Pre-registration as a veteran is available beginning in February of each year.

Megan’s Law Statement 

Placer Veterans Stand Down is always concerned with the safety and security of all the participants of our stand down.  We also hold our organization to the highest ethical standards and to the military tradition of honor, integrity and service.   

As part of these beliefs, and for multiple reasons, including a school on the fairground campus, we require all stand down participants – attendees, volunteers and service providers to be processed through the Megan’s Law website.  The Megan’s Law website only checks for individuals registered as a sexual offender.  We do not run “background checks”. 

For the safety of all of participants, registered sex offenders will not be allowed to participate in the Placer Veterans Stand Down.
